Described by the Legal 500 as “outstanding” and “very client focused”, Matthew has specialised in complex employment disputes for 15 years with an enviable success rate.
Matthew spent the early part of his career specialising in equal pay claims before expanding his practice across the full spectrum of employment law and its related fields. Matthew is adept at TUPE, whistleblowing, discrimination and business protection cases – including those requiring urgent applications to the High Court including springboard injunctions or other forms of interim relief.
Matthew acts as standing counsel to a number of commercial clients, many of which retain him to represent them at multi-day trials before the Employment Tribunal.
Matthew is equally as comfortable acting for senior executives in the regulated sectors, including those facing career-ending allegations. Recent individual clients include the director of a national sporting body, a high-profile financial adviser and the General Counsel of a financial services firm.
Matthew thrives on building meaningful relationships with all of his clients. He takes pride in understanding their objectives from the start, offering honest, clear and solution-focused advice, and partnering them at each stage through their journey.
