Liza qualified as an employment solicitor in 2002 and worked in both City and West End practices before joining Draper Lang in 2013. Liza has had extensive experience advising a range of employer and employee clients on all aspects of employment law.
Liza particularly enjoys advising on grievance, disciplinary and redundancy processes. She also advises on all aspects of corporate transactions and has a particular interest in TUPE. Her experience also covers the drafting of all forms of employment documentation including service agreements, policies and employee handbooks.
Liza’s employer experience includes acting for start-ups, family run businesses, football clubs, public sector organisations, hotels, charities, financial services businesses, technology and telecommunications companies and AIM listed companies. On the employee side, Liza has acted for many individuals, including senior executives of listed companies, on a variety of employment law issues including terminations and bonuses.
Liza has acted for clients in the Employment Tribunal, Employee Appeals Tribunal and the High Court on a wide range of issues including dismissal (unfair, wrongful and constructive), all forms of discrimination, working time, breach of contract and unlawful deductions.
